About Saban

My name is Saban Bibent, I am 16 years old and I race a 410 non wing Dirt Sprint car. I recently won the Rookie of the Year title in the 2020 Kelsey Chevrolet Sprint Car Series at Lawrenceburg Speedway and this year I am competing in the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series and several USAC events. On June 12th, I won my 1st Sprint Car Feature at Lawrenceburg Speedway!

The sport of racing is deeply rooted inside me. I raced professional go-karts for five years and won countless races. In 2015 I won my first championship at the Lawrenceburg M. Speedway in the Junior 2 class. After traveling out of state in 2017 I was crowned the Bluegrass Ultimate Karting Series Champion, the King of The Ring at the Circleville High Banks, and won the Cesar's Creek Halloween bash along with 10 other races that season. I then received the honor of being the second-best Junior driver in the Midwest in a close vote.

In 2018, I started out winning the first 3 races of the season then qualifying fastest at 52.9 mph in the biggest race of the year, The Midwest Race of Champions. I finished third out of the best Go Kart drivers in the country. I then went on to race a midget, a 175 horsepower open-wheel race car, owned by Mel Kenyon in the latter stages of the year. I finished 4th in my first race and then went on to win my first heat race in only my fourth start. 2019 was my first year in a Sprint Car and we dove in headfirst. For my first year, I finished in 4th place for the Atomic Speedway Championship. I finished 23rd in National Rookie Points racing against the best 305 Sprint Car drivers in the nation. Racing against grown men in the nineteen races I entered, I finished with 1 heat race win, 15 laps led, 3 top-five finishes, and 8 top-ten finishes.
